Weird navigation on the web version

11 comments

The web version has a weird navigation: the "< Back" and "Cancel" actions close the tab where I'm browsing. I have to re-open a new tab to the knil.co website (due to cookies, I am already logged in and at my home view)

Ciao

Fabrizio

No, it's still there. These actions close the current browser tab:

Home -> enter a channel -> Back

Home -> enter a channel -> Edit Channel -> Back

Home -> enter a channel -> Edit Channel -> Modify interests -> Cancel

Home -> Edit channel -> Click a pencil icon -> Back

Did you try to use the native navigator back button instead, does it also happen then ?

Yes, I tried, in fact I use that as a workaround. The browser "back" button brings correctly back to the previous page.

Gosh! I found out that this issue only happens if I open knil by clicking on the link you sent me via email. I have bookmarked it, and if i open it from the bookmarks bar then the navigation works correctly.

Apparently, my web mail (www.email.it) opens links in a peculiar way, and causes this bug...

Good news, i couldn't reproduce this issue. So can we close this ?

Yes, you can definately close this! It remains somewhat weird, because the browser back button works. I would blame it 90% on email.it, and 10% on Knil, so at most it's veeeery low priority

Commenting is off for this post.

    I like the fact if I click on a post it expands it and when I go back it returns me back to the spot I clicked from rather than starting me from the beginning of the feed -- as happens in Facebook. Unable to select text. I wish I could highlight and copy the text. I have to open it in Facebook to copy the text. (using Chrome on a PC). It would be nice to be able to get the URL of the post without having to go back into Facebook.

    It appears to be pulling the Twitter feed of another "Joe Caldwell" into my user feed. Is there a way I can remove that Twitter account?

    Logging into this forum is harder than signing up! :D At the top right corner of the page there is a "Log in / Sign up" button, by pressing it you are taken to the Sign up process. If you are already a member, then you have to click further on the "Log in", on the bottom of the page (after realizing you are entering your already existing access credentials in the Sign Up form :) :) :) )
